The Gatehouse is a pub, kitchen and coffee lounge on Tollhouse Hill. We pride ourselves on our friendly environment and our dazzling menus. Whether you’re looking for a comforting plate of food or a chic drink, we’ll have something just right.
Outside you’ll find a spacious al fresco seating area — perfect with a cold drink on a hot day. Inside, you’ll find comfortable seats, a great menu and a very well stocked bar! And as if that wasn’t enough, all our customers are invited to use our wifi completely free of charge. There are no time limits, and no hidden costs (i.e. it won’t kick you off after half an hour if you don’t buy a second coffee).
We’re located in a great spot, right in the centre of the city. You could pop in to put your feet up after a shopping trip, drop in from the office at lunch time, or stop by for dinner for two pre-theatre. Whatever time of day you visit us, you can be sure of a relaxing atmosphere and a warm welcome.

Though The Gatehouse pub has been a popular spot for many years, it was taken over by a brand new team in the summer of 2012. We’ve got new menus, a new coffee machine and a new selection of drinks behind the bar. Why not pay us a visit?
