Slug & Lettuce

The Slug and Lettuce Don’t have the salad! Haha, age old joke for this place, but joking aside, this place is marvellous. I do stick out like a sore thumb when I go in here, as men with long hair are not usually seen in places like this, but I go in anyway, because I like the friendly staff, the reasonably priced beer, and the atmosphere is generally good. Would definitely carry on going :)

Came here during the day with for my other half’s birthday. It was quite busy but did manage to get a table. The sofas are comfortable and the staff helpful. I had the tagliatelle with chicken and broad beans and really enjoyed it. We had an enjoyable and relaxing time and would go back again.

Slug and Lettuce have a chain of bars and so you may well have visited one of these elsewhere in the country. It is located in the Cornerhouse (Cinema, Casino, Bar, Restaurant complex) at Nottingham and so is surrounded by other good places to make a pub crawl that little bit easier!
They serve food here aswell as being a decent nighttime bar venue. I would recommened that eating food here is probably a nicer experience during the day, simply because it is quieter and more of a restaurant/​café feel than at night when they are more likely to be people just out for drinks.
The people who come into here tend to be 30’s + as it has a more grown up feel to it than some of the more lively places in Nottingham. Good selection of beers to choose from too and some very good red wines, although as with most wine these days it can certainly cost you.
