History
Established in 2001.
Shudokan Aikido is based on the Yoshinkan style of Aikido as taught to the Tokyo Special Riot Police. Yoshinkan Aikido was founded by Shioda Kancho who was a principle student of Ueshiba O Sensei, the founder of Aikido. As an effective form of self defence, Aikido is taught to police and military worldwide.

Sensei Ken R.
Business Owner
Sensei Ken spent 22 years in the Royal Air force before setting up his own business as a motivational speaker and a provider of dynamic corporate training and team building packages. In July 2000 he then opened his own full time Aikido school in Nottingham. The Shudokan Black Belt Academy has since grown to be one of the largest most successful pure Aikido schools in the world, attaining «School of Excellence» accreditation. Ken has spent over 35 years training and teaching in the Martial Arts.
