BHS is one of those nostalgic places for me as I used to work there when I was at art college! But it’s not changed in all the years since then. They still have the same styles of clothes in and the same predictable items in the Christmas shop! I almost feel like I’m in a time wharp whenever I walk back in there. I did go in recently though, as I had time to kill, and picked up a couple of cheap Christmas presents: a make up gift set and a nail varnish gift set for £6 each that looked quite large and impressive. They were doing a 20% off day too which was a bonus. So I guess they are good for some things!

BHS has always suffered from overcrowding.
At the moment, with Christmas on the horizon it’s abhorrent!
You just can’t move for ‘stuff’ (when are we going to stop being sucked into this!) everywhere, let alone people.

I came here recently for some homeware and I wasn’t disappointed. Since they had a sale on, I managed to get a duvet set, 2 fitted sheets and some gumballs (random, I know) for under £20! The selection of printed bedsets isn’t amazing, but at least they were all pretty much reduced, so I didn’t mind. The quality of their home furnishings is excellent, but I’d recommend visiting during one of their 20% off extravaganzas. It can be busy at times, and I don’t think the layout is as good as it can be, as you have to follow the path to get to the back of the store, this can be problematic when people have lots of pushchairs etc.

Quite a large store located on the ground floor in the Broadmarsh shopping centre. A good range of womens, mens, teens and childrens clothing, a good selction of homeware and good quality too. Reasonably price and all round great store

A big shop selling a good range of reasonably price clothes in lots of sizes and things for the home. They sell some great gifts near Christmas e.g. sweets, alcohol and gadgets although some are quite expensive. There can be long queues depending on when you go. They have a café which sells some nice food and drinks quite cheaply.
