This place is tucked away below the road level and next to the river, a 1 minute walk from the train station and 10 minutes from the centre of town.
It has a nice atmosphere, a good range on the menu and the food, for a chain pub, is decent and in the main appears to be cooked to order.
The service is good. Friendly, efficient but suitably distracted by customers to leave you in peace when you want to eat.
It offers good value and is easy on the pocket while still gives portions that leave your tummy full.
