The Salvation Army charity shop on St. Giles Street is a great place to look for cheap furniture. Sure, quite a lot of it is past it’s best, but with a little care and attention you can often find a real bargain. As well as the large furniture collection round the back, it stocks the usual charity shop ensemble of ornate glasses, John Grisham novels and vaguely intriguing This Jigsaw Can NEVER be SOLVED!!! puzzles. Overall, it’s a nice little charity shop.
