Pull’s ferry

Thoroughly picturesque and a lovely stopping point as part of a walk. Either stroll through the Cathedral Close to reach it, or wander the banks of the Wensum. You will see lots of people with sketchpads, and spot it on numerous postcards, and when you take a look you will understand why. There are benches near by, and it is a very pretty place for a picnic.

Pulls Ferry is one of the oldest places in Norwich and you will find it on many postcards and in lots of guide books so it really is worth visiting.
It is part of the riverside walk along the River Wensum near to the Cathedral and the Great Hospital, both of which are worth visiting along the way.
Pulls Ferry is beautiful and peaceful. The swans on the river add to the lovely feel of this place. In the summer it is really nice to take a picnic and a blanket and just laze about by the river, watching the boats go up and down.

As a little girl I spent many a Saturday or Sunday afternoon at Pulls Ferry with my Mum and Dad catching tiddlers in a jam jar and having a picnic tea. Pulls Ferry is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Norwich, and is featured in almost every guide book you will read, so has to be worth a look!
Forming part of the riverside walk which incorporates the Cathedral close, Pulls Ferry is at its best when the sun is shining. Personally I like it on a crisp winters day with the low sun — there is something hauntingly beautiful about it.
If you are any good at photography or painting (of which I am good at neither!) then it is well worth having your kit with you when you visit — you will find it hard to resist.

Ah Pull’s Ferry. Probably the nicest spot in Norwich. (Liked it so much, got my Mum to do a watercolour of it which now hangs on my wall in pride of place!) Looking forward to the tea and homemade cakes next year!

Pulls Ferry is beautiful and very close to my heart as it is Girl Guiding HQ in Norwich. It is a stunning building which bridges a little mooring off the river and in the summer months all of the guides and brownies in norwich and surrounding areas will serve passers by with tea, coffee and homemade cakes! Go along and enjoy!

I have not a lot to say about Pull’s Ferry except how picturesque it looks :)
