EGD Renovations is based in Newquay and operates throughout Cornwall. Services include project management, general building works, landscaping, roofing, painting and decorating, carpentry, tiling, kitchen & bathroom fitting and furniture painting & distressing.

With years of experience, EGD provide these services to local people and businesses, and specialise in project management for clients who are unable to manage the project themselves.

To provide a full package, EGD work closely with fellow tradespeople where electrics, plumbing and plastering services are required.

Steve Slade & Iona Manley operate the business and with this core team of two, plus a reliable network of both labourers and trades, EGD provides a professional service, well practiced to deliver a high standard of workman-​andwoman-​ship.

History

Established in 1991.

We started in self employment in London in 1991, with our business «Ecological Garden Design», hence the EGD bit!

We worked mostly for inner city schools designing and implementing wildlife gardens and ponds, including hard landscaping such as patios, pergolas, decking platforms, fencing and rockeries etc.

Building skills had been past down to Steve from his father who was a bricklayer. We renovated our own house in London before selling. Friends saw the work we had done and several asked us to do similar to their houses — and EGD Renovations was born. We spent 6 months painting and decorating in Marbella in Spain before settling back in the UK, in Iona’s homeland — Cornwall.

We undertake small decorating jobs, as well as large renovation projects on private homes and commercial buildings.

We will always recommend you obtain the correct planning permissions, follow building regulations and use a qualified plumber and electrician where necessary.

Hi, I run EGD Renovations with my long term partner, Steve Slade. We make a great team! Coming from a background in admin, my primary roles are office management, client liaison and on-​site project management. I also do most of the painting and decorating and oversee quality control!
