History

Established in 2012.

Wycherley’s dental practice is located at 49 High street, Newport, Shropshire, near Telford and is believed to be built as an infill house between existing buildings dating back to the 17^th century. Purchased in 2010 by Dr Ashok Jakhu it has now been transformed into a modern state of the art private dental practice. Many original features have been retained with each modern surgery boasting original fireplaces adding to the character of the period property.

Graduated 2007 from Liverpool University as a Bachelor of dental surgery Ashok went on to complete his vocational training in North Wales. Having successfully completed the training year Dr Jakhu worked in both private and NHS practices whilst also completing the following training part time:

2008-​09 — Completed standard course in Conscious sedation at Liverpool University Dental hospital

2008-​09 — Clinical assistant post at Wrexham Maelor hospital performing many surgical wisdom tooth extractions in theatre under general anaesthesia

2009-​11 — Completed a postgraduate diploma in Advanced Restorative Cosmetic Dentistry from the University of Central Lancashire. This involved completing advanced cases in smile design, root canal treatment, periodontal surgery and more.

2010 — Invisalign accredited practitioner able to provide clear braces as a cosmetic alternative to traditional «train track» braces
