This places is a great night out — they offer a laugh, some food and a drink! What more can you ask for really?!
The food they serve although limited, is very tasty and extremely good quality. Drinks are reasonably priced and can be taken down to the comedy venue when the show starts.
The range of comedians they have means they always have an act on the bill that will please everyone. There is a lot of local humor and it is a great place to take people who are new or visiting the area so they can appreciate their surroundings even more!

The Stand is a great comedy club, it really cares about the quality of the acts and experience the customers have. Keeping the drunken groups away.
If you get the chance try to see the Suggestibles, who perform a truly fantastic improvised comedy show once a month– (typically second Monday of the month.) I cry with laughter every time.

The best comedy club in Newcastle by a long way. They’ve got quality stuff on most days of the week and as part of the Stand group some pretty big names make an appearance here as well as up and coming local acts. On street level and open to all is the bar and bistro which is good enough to compete with plenty of other establishments in Newcastle on both fronts. The bar is fairly well stocked and the bistro food is always great with the menu changing on a regular basis and prices for both food and drink in line with other establishments in the city centre. I really would recommend it as a place to go for dinner as well as a comedy venue.
Downstairs is the performance space with its own bar and a more streamlined finger food menu.
