History

Established in 1992.

There has been a dental practice at 23 Bridge Street Musselburgh for more than 80 years, originally housing only one working surgery and one small laboratory. Duncan Smith took over the practice in 1992, working with a staff of one receptionist and one nurse. Since then the practice has seen many positive changes and has been transformed to accommodate five modern, bright surgeries, two patient waiting areas, a staff room, a large and bright local decontamination unit and now operates with a team of 20.

Business Owner

Duncan, originally from Dundee, qualified at Dundee University in 1985. He is passionate about all aspects of dentistry.

As founder of the practice and the principal dentist, Duncan is committed to its continued development and to providing the most effective solutions on all aspects of dental health. His particular interests are in cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery and dental implants.

Outside work Duncan enjoys spending time with his family and manages to juggle work and life with three children, admirably. Duncan is also a keen skier and motorbike enthusiast.
