This is a lovely pub in the little village of meldon near morpeth
The meals are fantastic — they have a good range of food on the menu and a daily specials menu
They do oap offers until 2 oclock each day and have a special meal on a monday night
The sunday lunch is wonderful, as is the chicken curry
My fella swears by the burgers and chips
They also have steaks on and gammon
The puddings are great though hard to fit in as the main meals are large
The pub itself has a snooker table lots of room in the bar and a resteraunt there is a big tv in one corner of the room near te fireplace
There is seating outside as it is lovely to just sit and look at the view
It is a £1 for a long cold glass of coke — it serves several diffeent beers with some specials ones at the bar I think
Not much of a beer drinker but will have a proper look next time I am in
The best thing is the show they have on every august which has all kinds of country contests northumberland music tug of wqr stick demonstations bee keeping pony rides
it has a website and is a really good day out with lots to do for the kids
