My first computer at the age of 16 or 17. I was very excited about it. I bought it from the US and had to pay £80 taxes. Then the screen blanked out. The repair cost around £250 and took 2 LONG months. Every day without it was an agony. When it came it worked for 5 – 10 minutes and the screen blanked out again. Spent £20 to send it back, was promised a postage refund. Weeks later got it with screen dimmed and no option to change brightness. The repair person, Mohsin Zaidi and SMR Computers, kept lying and never refunded postage. Laptop’s initial cost to me was about £330, from what I can remember. Nightmare.

A disgraceful service. He kept my hard disk after months of promising to recover data. Didn’t return my calls or respond to letters or emails. I even went to County Court to no avail. I had a targeted attack on my bank accounts that has led me to believe the data on my disk was used to try to steal money from my banks.
I currently have a police crime case open on this.
