T K Maxx

This shop has a huge variety… if you’re a woman or an XXL guy. Let me explain, if you are a woman, there are rows and rows of clothes with endless choice, now as for the men’s section there are a few rows, but they all seem to be XXL in size, where as the Small size section is tiny and is full of the most random and awful things that no body would ever wear. I understand this is an outlet store and most catalogues are always left with the larger sizes, but surely there must be more left in small than is on offer here.

You can’t just pop into this shop. The layout demands a more concentrated effort in looking through the masses of stock that is on display on this one level store.
As you enter the shop you will see thee huge amount o womens clothes on offer from tshirts to ball dresses.
You will see racks of mens clothes including expensive ties and suits. Chilrens clothing is on display on fewer racks but you can get a bargain. What attracts me is a hard choice between the homewear bargains and the nick nacks including perfume and lovely candles.
There is a huge choice from the many designer items in here and you will enjoy good value for you money but be prepared to queue. A fair system has been set up where there is 1 queue that branches in turn to the availablle tills

This branch of T K Maxx is located in the new Captain Cook’s Square in Middlesbrough town centre. I must confess, I prefer the branch on Teesside Retail Park.
This branch is all on one floor, and seems a bit jumbled to me. They sell clothing, shoes, bags, toys, ornaments etc. I always like to take a look in if I’m in the town centre, as I would hate to miss a bargain, and you CAN get bargains here, but you have to be lucky, and you have to be prepared to rummage for them!
I personally find the clothing expensive, even though it is discounted. But they do carry a nice line in reduced price toys and games, although I don’t think they have a big a selection at the Teesside Park branch.
There always seem to be queues at the check outs, too.

TK Maxx is a relatively new addition to Middlesbrough added when Captain Cook Square was built (also where TK MAXX is located). The shop it bright with clean white décor with their signature red signs etc.
The selection of clothes varies a lot and it is quite hit and miss as in sometimes there are many lovely highly discounted pieces and other times not a lot. There sales are brilliant! I tend to find women’s wear has a lot more choice than men’s wear when I look for stuff for my boyfriend.
The shoes are an absolute waste of time. I don’t even bother looking at them now. The accessories are always worth a look as the bag a gorgeous. The queues at the tills can be quite long at peak times but move quite quickly also remember to bring your own bags as TK MAXX charge now!

A large store, which is spacious and well laid out.
They stock men’s, women’s and children’s clothes, homeware, toys and other bits and bobs.
Well worth a visit, as you can pick up some designer bargains.
Sometimes you can queue for a while as it gets quite busy.
The children’s toy section is usually quite good.
