My favorite place to eat. The food is very honest with no pretensions. It is the most reasonably priced place I have ever been and the art is always interesting. Just be careful when they’re busy that they get your order right!

Below the entrance to the public car park on Coldwell Street in Wirksworth, is the Art, Design and Craft Centre which has apparantly been owned by the Greatorex family for nearly 150 years and is where the work of local artists and craftspeople is displayed.
Cakes, pastries and savouries made freshly on the premises, along with a cake baking and ordering service.
Nice big pot of fresh tea to wash down the sweet delicasies.
Obviously popular locally and a nice quaint resting stop.
Unusual and worth a visit.
