Oh, Marlow, you’re so bloody middle-class this is the only pub that takes dogs.
Went for a walk in the country. Got snooted at by several other pubs, then ended up in this boozer.
It’s a greene king boozer, with ales to match. They alleged to have local guest ales, but these were off. The food was… well, fairly bland, if cheap. The service was rather brusque and overwhelmed, and to be honest I couldn’t work out why — this place is off the beaten track (and even off the OS map track).
So, it’s grand, but not much more than that.

This pub has so much to offer.
1. A giant outdoor area behind the pub.
2. Close to the train station.
3. Blue Moon on tap.
4. Fireplaces and cozy seating inside.
As an American expat leaving near Marlow, I frequent this pub for the simple fact that they have Blue Moon on tap. Blue Moon can be found at ripoff prices in supermarkets but why buy it at the shop when you can enjoy a glass at a pub?
I have never eaten at the Marlow Donkey and probably never would unless I was really hungry and in that case, would order a basket of chips (aka fries). The food is priced as though it is general pub food which is scary as I have had far too many bad experiences with pub food.

This is a decent local with a good outside space. They have occasional theme days and theme nights and a warm fireplace for winters nights. food is ok and have guest ales.

Much better since the refurb and you get what you see on the tin! Standard pub food with a fair list of wines and good selection of beers. Large beer garden which is fairly unique in marlow.

This is a nice local pub, although is part of a chain of pubs, so the menu is quite generic, and not really that inspiring. I find the food is a bit hit and miss, sometimes it can be quite nice, but I have also had a bad meal here. Also I was unfortunate enough to go one sunday when only one chef had turned up, so I waited 2 hours 15 mins for my food! With no one to come around and apologise, no free food or drink offered. This put me off entirely and judging by the number of people that walked out I was not the only one. The location is good (v. near train station), so good for a quick drink.
