What can you say? It’s a wetherspoons, we all know more or less what to expect. I’ve given it points for being cheap and cheerful. They’ve all got large menus with cheap reasonable food available. They actually do try to provide some variety with the ales they have available. Plus«cider festival» in the harvest time. I got a Devils Backbone IPA for £3.19 and it was agreeable. The toilets were surprisingly swish, see photo. The place had some nice fireplaces, a large bookcase full of old book upstairs. It’s just… it’s a wetherspoons. Chainy, chavvy, and I’ve been here too many times because of the good location.
