A nice place to drink energising smoothies, juices, frozen yoghurt. Nice mixes, power outlets, free newspaper, and music. A bit hipster, but I really like the place to pause and write !

The Fruit Exchange does lots of healthy smoothies… and milkshakes. Obviously I had a milkshake, a mango milkshake which was made with what seemed like good quality ice cream but was perhaps a little lacking in the mango flavour. Still, I would go back for more milkshakes, no doubt. Music was very loud which meant it wasn’t a very good place for a chat with a friend/bit of work, which is weird because, not selling alcohol, it’s not a party hangout either. Maybe just turn it down a bit…

I’m very glad I am know closer to The Fruit Exchange, as I believe this place makes the best smothie in Manchester. It a lovely little place, simple modern design and a great laid back feel. They have a great range of smothie, juice, frozen yogurt, tea and coffee. This is a great spot for a cool drink while the weathers good and I am sure it be great when I need something warmer.

For the record I need to say that I’m reviewing my experience of dealing with the Fruit exchange for an event I was running there and not reviewing my actual event! It’s safe to say that this is one of the coolest venues in Manchester and with that I was really keen to run an event here as it’s a local business hidden gem. Light and airy, modern and funky — while still giving a nod to the greengrocer — this juice bar is an ideal hangout on summer days and I imagine great in winter when sheltering from the elements. I found the owners Tom and Pam to be really helpful, friendly and accommodating — nothing was too much trouble and just the sort of people you want to see in business who are doing it for themselves. The staff were friendly and their knowledge of the products on sale were second to none. The juices I’ve had when I’ve been in have always been delicious and freshly made in front of you, make sure you go and check them out for yourself!

I was asked to come down and shoot the Unilocal Summer Party at Fruit Exchange, but had coincidentally been talking about it with a friend a couple of days previous. She said I should try it after I’d mentioned juicing and the like — and had told me how good it was(and that they do frozen yoghurt, which is always a bonus). From what I can see they’ve got a great location, chilled out staff and properly slick operation going on. Their ingredients are fresh and of a really high standard, and their relaxed atmosphere(made ever better by bright wood/metal décor) make for a lovely place to be. They’ve a huge range of smoothies/juices, and will do whatever you want, I imagine. Their young owner has injected a sense of independence to a trade which has, in the past, been dominated by big American brands and lifeless blandery. Their WiFi is pretty good too. While I didn’t have a chance to try for myself, their small selection of fresh panini and salads look very tasty, so I’ll have to grab something next time(and there will be many next times) I’m in there for a smoothie. Well worth a look next time you’re strolling along Deansgate. 10⁄10 for juice/smoothies/frozen yoghurt.

Loved it here, I shall be going back. Great range of juices, smoothies and frozen yoghurt– like a sweet shop for fruit fans! I had a carrot ginger apple and lemon juice plus a piri piri chicken panini. All delicious! Beautiful décor, helpful staff and great chilled atmosphere.

I’ve gone past The Fruit Exchange on numerous occassions and, due to a recent bout of ‘should I buy a blender that I can’t fit in my flat’ pondering, I took to this establishment to get a fruit smoothie fix. From the outside it’s lovely — simple, clean lines, and this is very much continued on the inside. I opted for a Mayfair smoothie, a delicious combination of lots of red fruit and vanilla, and it went down a treat whilst reading my book during lunch. The service offered an additional pick me up as everyone was laid back and friendly, perfect for that semi-human interaction you need but don’t want to admit to wanting. Free wi-fi was a great boost, allowing me to browse Facebook and Pinterest… oh, and check my emails! With a price tag of £2.95 I am still left considering buying my own blender but, until then, I might try a few more trips to really decide. And to discover some more flavours.
