I missed my train to come back home. Had an hour to kill. Saw an offer on ‘2 courses for £9.99′ I thought sounds good. Greeted by a warm friendly face at the door, taken to a table. I ordered a ‘Singapore Sling’ love this cocktail(see photos) Starter & main course was delicious! I ended up missing my train again, because I enjoyed the food so much. Highly recommend this place if you have time to spare. They told me about their new app too, where you can win stuff if you scan your receipt and check in.

I was travelling down to London for work one evening. I was uncharacteristically early to the station, and as I had 40 minutes to spare, I thought I’d get some hot food rather than a meal deal on the train. When I arrived, I checked that I would have enough time to eat and catch my train. Although I felt a little dubious as to whether I actually would, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I ordered a Strawberry Fields softail. It was very nice, as non-alcoholic cocktails go. It would be improved by vodka or rum, but then I wouldn’t have been able to drink it. They had a few choices, which was nice and made a change from the lime and soda I have had so much of. Foodwise, I ordered from the light menu. I had the chicken skewers with BBQ glaze. I wanted the Jack glaze but seeing as I can’t drink, that was not an option. The BBQ glaze was very nice and the chicken wasn’t too dry. I had chips with it, although didn’t finish them as there were quite a lot. Timing wise, I had about 10 minutes to spare to make my way to the train, which was ideal. So I’d definitely recommend going here for a quick bite to eat before getting a train. Considering how sceptical I was at the beginning this is a good turn around! As I didn’t order from the main menu, and I haven’t tried the wine or alcoholic cocktails, I don’t feel I can give this more than 3* but I will return next time I am organised to turn up for a train early, and update the rating.
