I went to Subway to grab a coffee, while in Manchester. Before I was diagnosed a Coeliac, I used to love it at Subway and had raked up 400 points, so as I can’t spend it on a sandwich, I decided why not grab 4 coffee’s with those points! I got my first coffee of many and it was served very quick. It would be helpful if they was signs to say If you are not buying a sandwich so straight to the till, as no one told me and I was queuing up for a sandwich, I am sure however not many people are going to go to Subway just or a hot beverage. As my phone battery was on 1%, I was really panicky that I would of had to pay the full amount or not get a Coffee at all, luckilly as they was making it, another member of staff got my subcard code and done it right away. I was angry to have to pay 30p for Caramel syrup, as I thought it was any hot drink for free, but they told me I had to pay as it was an extra. Like I said, 30p for a Caramel Latte still isn’t that bad. The drink was served very quick, I think that is a more of a bad thing than good, as they rushed it and did not stir the caramel in, hence I started by drinking a flavorless drink that wasn’t sweet and it all hit me with the caramel flavor at the bottom. My drink okay when I actually got into the Caramel flavor but not so great, at the start. How Subway can improve — Gluten Free food to have with my drink — they will be too much cross-contamination to do this, but like I have said in past reviews, I can’t give anything a top rating if I can’t have anything to eat with my coffee. — Signs that say, If you don’t want a sandwich go straight to the till, some people could just be going in for a cookie, a hot drink or a bag of crisps etc and they is no points them queuing for someone to make a sandwich for those infront of them. I even had to wait for the Sandwich Artist to have a non Subway conversation with the person infront of me and I didn’t even want a sandwich! — They should take more care with the coffee, I don’t mind waiting for it, if it is fully stirred and good quality. They didn’t even tell me it was not stirred as the lid was on, when I order a flavored drink, I expect the flavoring to be in and stirred . — As my Subcard points will only get me a few coffees now I am Coeliac, it would of been nice if my points could of paid for an extra as well, as I know Subcard points can pay for both 6 inch and 12 inch Sub’s.
