TL;DR — It’s just a Starbucks, but a very nice one. This branch is a welcome addition to the North Campus area of the University of Manchester. It’s right by the 147 bus stop under the arches and great for popping into when crossing campus. In terms of what’s on offer, it’s your usual Starbucks deal so no surprises there. Staff are always friendly and service is good, and a bonus for University of Manchester staff and students is that you can get a 5% discount if you pay using your Food In Advance card. The interior of the place is nice too — plenty of seating, lots of exposed wood… Yes it’s «just» a Starbucks, but it’s a very nice one.

Just a bog standard Starbucks, that’s all. I don’t understand the idea of having another Starbucks when there is the un-holy trinity of Costa, nero and Starbucks on Oxford Road, about 2 mins away, but then here I am, aren’t I! Normally I don’t expect a lot in these chains and in that sense, I get exactly what I expect. The usual coffee list as any other Starbucks, combined with the usual service and the usual wrong-spelling of your name even if it has only four letters; R-A-A-M. Next time I’m going to try Captain Puerto Rico or Batman. So there you go, nothing spectacular, just another Starbucks. Give them a go, or don’t, it’s up to you really.
