Established in 2005.

Duncan Wood, the business owner, has been involved in the Property, Design and Building Industries since leaving university, where he studied Interior Design. He ran his own property renovation and design company for 15 years whilst building and managing his own property portfolio.

Being involved in property he saw the huge benefits for the use of solar control window film and soon realised the huge market potential for cars, residential and commercial window tinting and consequently started Solar Guard Tinting, specializing in the installation window film on all makes and models of vehicles and flat glass film tinting, on houses, conservatories to offices and industrial units

Recently, glass has become a major feature of building design; however, glass can bring certain problems including an increased amount of Solar Heat entering buildings and vehicles. This often results in discomfort uneven temperatures, hotspots, glare, fading security and lack of privacy etc and the need for mechanical cooling.
