Great atmosphere, fun and friendly service, live Greek music, and most of all — tasty food value for money! I went in a group of 9, and 15 minutes in to being sat down we were encouraged to get up and join in on some Greek dancing! We found ourselves dancing in one big circle around the restaurant with another big group of customers, as well as a few waiters! The food came out in good time, drinks were topped up plenty, they even threw in the odd freebie. Felt like we were on holiday — would definitely recommend.

Food was great here. They even had entertainment when a Greek customer got up and did a dance. Not sure why. He must have loved the food! There were somersaults and drinks acrobatics. The ambience was suitable and music of course was only Greek. Vegan options were quite good.

My first Greek food experience in Manchester! and definitely not the last! we picked up this restaurant after to have seen the good reviews on Unilocal! Food was lovely and portions really generous! we had some apetizers 1st with houmous and haloumi(that didnt really taste like goat cheese)! we had to ask for more bread as the quantity provided wasnt really proportional to the houmous! we got a big tray full of bread and wasnt charged for it surprisingly! then I got the lamb chops that were very tasty! if I remember I had 5 or 6 in my plates so more than enough to get completly full! the atmosphere was… original! of course there was greek music, but they played it using youtube so it was a bit strange as at the end of each song there was a break while they were looking for the next one! staff was very nice and helpful! I will definitely go there again as I need to try their mega mezza that looks more than interesting!

Recently visited this restaurant and was delighted to be able to close my eyes and experience genuine Mediterranean flavours, taking me to various recent holiday destinations. Great staff, friendly & attentive without being conspicuous. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced too!

What do you do when your fav restaurant is no longer inhabitable as it reminds you of a previous(boy) life? Wait till they open a new one in the Centre of your favourite City!!! So when I heard that the delightful Alban and crew were opening a new Rozafa in Manchester I was over the moon; and this one is even better! Who would I recommend it too? The parents, the girlfriends parents, the boyfs drinking buddies, or just the girls for a good catch up… all suitable for this wonder. What can you expect? Great service from start to finish with the balance of contact vs privacy being spot on. Now, the food… I’m a big fan of meat and for those of you that are too… you will not be left wanting! With classic Greek dishes being the order of the day I can recommend the Souvlaki, and pretty much all things on the menu! With an early diner menu of 2 courses for £12 — this will not break the bank!!! The portions are stunning, the quality is indescribable; a real memory making place! As someone who is incredibly fussy where Greek food is concerned(I used to live there so know what it should taste like) I couldn’t rate this any higher… I challenge you to correct me!

We ventured in without reservations on a busy Friday night and were graciously seated right away(it was still early). Service was just right. The food was excellent and the portions were surprisingly generous. Our table decided to eat«light» by ordering the vegetarian mezze feast. We were stuffed by meal’s end. Every dish impressed. while this is likely our only chance to eat at Rozafa(visiting from the U.S.), we will certainly recommend it to other travelers. A solid 4 star experience!

Been waiting for years to finally have a decent greek meal in Manchester city centre(Papa G’s calls itself Mediterranean, and they do pizzas). I went to Rozafa one Monday evening when I was looking for somewhere still open at 9.30pm, and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Fast forward to the first Saturday after January pay-day and silly old me hadn’t booked a table anywhere, unlike the rest of the Greater Manchester population. I phoned the regular haunts, 110 Restaurant, EastZEast, Zouk, Try Thai and Phetphallin and none had a table, so we walked into Rozafa. The restaurant was a lot busier that the last time I went in, but they were able to fit in a table of two. We looked at the menu, decided what food and drinks we wanted, then waited, and waited, and waited, in all we waited for 15 minutes and just before we were about to walk out somebody came over. A light(ish) starter of houmous, tzatziki and halloumi was pretty standard fayre, but then that’s what we expected when we ordered it. Main course was a mixed souvlaki which is basically a kebab, I chose one chicken skewer and one spicy lamb mince. My souvlaki came with rice and salad as requested(healthy eh!), the chicken had clearly been well marinated and char-grilled just enough to keep it succulent, something which is hard to do considering the amount of heat applied. Anyway, I really enjoyed the main course and was full until the next morning which is no mean feat with me. In all, I probably would go back to Rozafa as it’s good value for money and there’s some times when only a good kebab will fill the hole and as I said these are probably the best greek ones in Manchester(best Indian ones are Café Marhaba). The only complaints I have are that the service wasn’t great and the tables were way to close together, the rotund bloke on the next table nearly knocked my drink over with his arse everytime he walked past.
