The Primary Care Respiratory Training Centre specialises in providing GPs and Practice Nurses with primary care focused COPD and Asthma courses. We aim to change the direction of respiratory education and provide health care professionals with the support and knowledge to effectively care for patients in these chronic disease groups. We use Nurse led mentorship clinics and interactive online web courses to provide evidence based information and the most up-​to date protocols necessary for top quality health care.

History

Established in 2004.

The business started out being called the Training Lab and the name Primary Care Respiratory Training Centre was more recently developed. It has always centred around the education of nurses and patients in Respiratory disease. There has been a number of successful projects undertaken and has resulted in numerous awards; the highlight being the British Journal of Nursing — Nurse of the Year award, awarded to the South Wales COPD project in 2012.

Business Owner

Tracy has 25 years of experience in nursing and has been running her own company since 2004. She developed a very keen interest in respiratory disease and has risen to the top of the field becoming widely respected by CCG’s and pharmaceutical companies.
