Paan House looked pretty exciting, with some curries I’d never heard of(one of which turned out to be sheeps’ brains, luckily before I’d ordered it). Unfortunately I was pretty disappointing by the watery and bland chicken dopiaza and aloo gobi I chose. The peshwari naan wasn’t the off-putting pink colour you get in some curry houses, but also lacked flavour. Definitely not worth a trip from further afield and I probably won’t bother again even though it’s in my neighbourhood.

My husband & I ordered from The Paan House this evening, and I can honestly say that it was the worst Indian food we have ever had. I ordered a Chicken Karahi that was so salty it was inedible. My husband’s side dish of Bombay Potatoes arrived in a watery, unappetising sauce. We also ordered vegetable samosas, however The Paan House decided to replace these with a portion of vegetable pakoras, which were rubbery and tasted as though they had been re-fried several times. When I called The Paan House they told me that they had run out of vegetable samosas and had tried to phone me, but that my phone was switched off.(NOTTRUE). I told them that my Chicken Karahi was too salty to eat, and the response I got was that’s how we make our curries. The only positive thing about ordering from The Paan House was that delivery was prompt if only the food had been appetising. Hugely disappointing. I will never use this takeaway again and I advise anyone reading this to go elsewhere.

Incredible value for money and real, authentic(delicious) Pakistani and Indian food. This is not your(sub) average pizza-curry-kebab-fried chicken takeaway. This is a genuine unearthed diamond(incredibly popular, locally). Everything is cooked fresh on the premises and free a delivery service is available. Tip for the top — if there are three or four of you, then a set meal for two will more than suffice. A wealth of delicious starters, poppadoms, breads, dips, salads, two curries, rice and a drink. All delivered to your door for less than £20. You’ll still be eating the leftovers the next day(the best bit!).

My first experience with a proper homemade asian style curry was at Paan house, the food is amazing it is 2nd to none, example your looking at paying for a tradional curry(chicken is the best) 1 naan side salad a can of soft drink is approx a fiver !! How good is that!!! and i promise you, you will go back time and time again, i even drive the 7 miles there and 7 miles back at least twice a month for my fix !! The local takeaways dont come close!
