Specialties
Mughli is one of the longest standing family-run Indian restaurants in Manchester, celebrating it’s 21st year in Rusholme and it’s 11th year in Knutsford.
In Manchester, our newly refurbished Restaurant+Charcoal Pit specialises in homestyle Indian dining, with an emphasis on our open ‘angithi’ charcoal pit and traditional ‘tandoor’ clay oven dishes.
History
Established in 1991.
Mughli first opened the doors to its flagship restaurant in the heart of Manchester’s renowned Curry Mile in 1991 by the now late Mohammad Arshad, affectionately known to his customers as ‘Uncle Peter’. The Knutsford Bar+Kitchen was opened by his eldest son, Sax in 2001.
Today, both restaurants continue to serve under family management and uphold the same values, quality and service as provided by Uncle Peter.

Son No.2 and the general dogsbody of the Mughli Restaurant+Charcoal Pit. You’ll normally see me behind the bar, pacing around the restaurant pretending to have a good handle on things or, occasionally in the kitchen!
