This place nearly got 2 stars, the staff were friendly and the room was clean, however… Thin sheets and pillow(I had to fold it in half to pad it out) I was cold in bed even though the heating was cranked up high throughout the hotel. The TV was miniature as well. I couldn’t seem to securely lock my door and didn’t feel safe. The NOISE outside was ridiculous(ok it was a sat night) but I got back at 4am and there was a noisy club going on until about 6am, when I wanted to sleep which was stressful and took me a long time to drift off(even with earplugs) The worst part of the hotel was the situation of the entrance, down a side street and then an alley, with dodgy types hanging around, I did not feel safe and asked my friend to escort me back to my hotel. I would not stay here again for the above reasons and hence why I gave the place one star, at the end of the day your safety is paramount and it helps if you can actually get some sleep.

I will never visit this hotel again! I was suppose to have been here for 3 nights whilst volunteering for Anthony Nolan over the Labour Party conference. I was appalled with the accommodation they booked and subsequently didn’t volunteer for the last 3 days of the conference. I checked in at 7pm and rang all my friends in Manchester to find a bed for the night. I was shocked at the state of facilities and the smell was unbearable. I struggled to open the room door due to the door fittings. The bed was only fit for the tip!

Filthy hotel. Blood on the walls. Shower.overlooking.the.bed.(is this place a brothel on the side, perhaps?) Creepy, flirtatious staff. Thin walls. No tissue paper in toilets. Disgusting entrance to the hotel lined with urine and homeless people. Baking hot when you wake up in the morning. No towels, soap, or any sort of amenities. All sorts of undesirables using the internet at all hours of the day and night. How is Manchester city council(or the UK government!!) allowing this kip to stay open?! It’s terrifying, in every way. My friend and I didn’t feel safe here, and we’re both street-smart, and well-travelled. The only good thing was that we weren’t overcharged for our stay, a common ‘mistake’ this hotel seemed to make with a lot of other travellers(See reviews on tourism websites). At least the filthiness and horrendous atmosphere of the hotel encouraged myself and my friend to stay out partying till 5am and then get up for breakfast(outside of the hotel, I assure you) at 8am, thus making the most of our trip to Manchester. But, seriously, this place is indescribable. It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if it was a brothel or crack house masquerading as a hotel — I’m not joking. It’s dumps like this that contribute to Manchester’s mostly unwarranted reputation as being rough and grimy. AVOID!!!

NEVERSTAYHERE. If you were locked out your flat you would be better sleeping in the street. This is without a doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything was broken, staff were rude as hell and every bit of the place was filthy! Need I say more!!!
