I love Manchester Pride its such a fun packed weekend which starts from the Friday evening right through until the Monday evening, it is always on the last Bank holiday weekend in August. Its a celebration for the Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender community and people of Manchester and their friends and anyone else who wishes to celebrate this fun filled weekend! You can get the BIGWEEKEND tickets from around the beginning of May which are the early bird tickets at around £16 or you can get tickets on the day for the whole weekend for around £26 so i recommend you buy them in advance. Also another tip is to book youre hotel well in advance before they shoot up in price! The Main parade is on the Saturday which starts at 1pm from Deansgate and runs its way right through the city centre and towards Canal Street. Theres some fun floats and even includes a Coronation Street float and many other colourful and eye opening parade entries. There is a main stage which has loads of acts on throughout the whole weekend which brings in some big artists, in 2014 we got Pixie Lott, Anastacia, Foxes, Conchita, All Saints to name a few… Make sure you look around for drink offers as some bars offer Draft beer for around £3 and as cheap as £2 on the monday. The end of the Weekend ends with a candlelight Vigil in Sackville Park for people and friends who have lost there loved ones of hiv/aids. Its very touching. Its such a fantastic atmosphere throughout the whole weekend and can’t wait for it again in 2015!!!

Well what can I say Manchester pride for 2014 has been a fantastic weekend hanging out with friends. The only problem is it is absolutely heaving at all the bars near the main stage area. The gaydar tent had good music some of the weekend. The G.A.Y bar did not put the prices up to rip the general public off, so worthy of a mention here! Roll on 2015 Pride.
