Where did that lovely little record shop/café on the corner go — oh, it’s shut down, that’s a shame! Saying that I think the concept was probably better than the delivery in todays modern world and speaking about the modern world, it’s quite apt that it’s been transformed into a knowingly health conscious juice bar. This juice bar/coffee and cake shack is probably the brightest place I’ve visited in terms of pure white walls and massive windows, it’s the antithesis of its former incarnation. With seating for around 20 indoors and probably seating for about 15 out the front — the counter service and 2 girls working seemed rushed off their feet for a relatively low amount of covers. The general feeling was that it was cool to stop off in for a coffee(£2.50 each for a cappuccino and macchiato) but it wasn’t somewhere that grabbed me in terms of wow I must go back and spend lots of time chilling out here. My wife was eyeing up the cakes and said the juices sounded pretty cool so we may end up back sometime but nothing massively grabbed me on this visit.
