John Lewis is one of my favourite chains in the world; why? Because it’s unpretentious, it does exactly what it says on the tin. «Never knowingly oversold,» which the supermarkets aim for and make a whole song and dance out of, but which John Lewis takes as matter of course. This is a small and bijou branch of two floors where you’re sure to get a flavour of the broad range that John Lewis stock, with an online collection point with dedicated parking so you won’t miss out on what their website offers. Service is always great and the layout is clear, as finely honed as any other branch. The only thing missing is a Waitrose department but you can’t always have everything. The café has been high quality every time I’ve been and all it’s missing is a view. All in all, this is a great branch, easy to navigate, relatively quiet and full of amenities.

Review is for the café, not the shop. Strange one this. The café is drab. The place is very loud and pretty much like a BHS café but only more expensive. We came here because I got the voucher for free coffee and cake. Cake was delicious but everything else was just standard, staff were just really bored and there were so many rude and obnoxious people in the queue and around us, letting their children scream at the top of their lungs. Just wasn’t for me unfortunately :(I will probs pop in to get another free coffee but not otherwise. This is a shame as I love John Lewis and expect their high quality everywhere– this isn’t the case.

This is just for the Café, Not for the Shop. We ordered a couple of coffees and come cake while browsing through John Lewis. I’m gonna keep this short as there isn’t a lot to say really. The Café is drab and so is the food. I don’t know why it’s so busy. The staff eren’t very friendly either, I can think of 10 places much better only a few minutes walk away. No second chances on this one i’m afraid.

A superb high quality store at the Trafford Centre which sell nothing but amazing products from amazing electrical items to stunning home furnishings, they also have many other sections including high fashion clothing and cosmetics. It is set on two floors and has a lovely café/restaurant called The place to eat! Every member of staff who we came across or needed information from was very friendly. John Lewis is known for high quality products and there friendly approach stores across the UK which i love! So a firm 5 stars from me.

As John C says in his review John Lewis is certainly not the cheapest store around, but on my most recent visit they had a promotion in store called«price match». It seemed to be all the concessions such as Warehouse, Ted Bakers, Levis etc. had 20% off the ticket price, full price and sale items! YES! Now I am a very difficult shopper when it comes to buying clothes for myself. I just can never seem to get the right stuff or decide on anything. Except for this visit… Two dresses both priced at £48. One was half price, then when I come to the till BAM20% off as well! Well in all honesty it was not that easy. I noticed the promotion as soon as I walked in the store and there were green and black posters on everything and dangling from every point of the ceiling. So I had worked out how much my dresses were going to cost me. When I did come to pay for them the girl scanned them and they came up with 20% off… 20p off. We sorted that one out but then she said the half price one wasn’t included. Anyway long story short, I was right. and got both dresses for about £40. The store itself is a great department store. It has everything from tvs and phones to haberdashery and bedding, clothes, jewellery to cosmetics and toys. Its fab. and it has a restaurants and a coffee shop. The displays are always fab, especially at Christmas when they hang baubles from the glass ceiling just above the escalators. The staff are(usually) always very pleasant and friendly, and more often than not know what they are talking about. For instance, recently I went in for a freeview recorder box. I didn’t have a clue, but Adam did so I let him speak to the man about which one I wanted and they both agreed. I am more than happy to pay that little bit extra for the good customer service you receive in John Lewis.

Pristine does not describe the aesthetics of this two storey mega shop! However, i wouldn’t say they’ve hacked up the overhead prices on the products! I’ve visited on a few occasions; for sewing materials, laptop prices, tea cups and dresses. Sewing materials are reasonably priced and the selection is BIG. I only had trouble finding the thing i wanted because there were so many things there! Also went to browse the prices of the laptops. Everything comes with a 2 year warranty with John Lewis and there are some high spec laptops for prices not out of reach! Well done John Lewis for not exceeding the price range of yours truly =)

At one end of the Trafford Centre, just like at every other mall-type shopping centre in the country, is where you will find John Lewis. Two floors of expensive things lie ahead. Whether that’s a tennis outfit or an overpriced electrical item, this department store has a huge range of items. The one thing I really like about John Lewis is its homeware and cooking sections. Sometimes I get bored of cheap Ikea pans falling apart or nasty little Ikea mugs getting chips and all I want is to go with my girlfriend to John Lewis, buy four Cath Kidson mugs, and feel good about it. So that’s what we did. We tried to buy some tongs to which were priced as £2 but came up as £5 on the till. Rather than the helping us sort the problem, the lady told us to go over to a different till on the other side of the store where they would be able to sort it. I have no idea why she couldn’t help, it seemed like quite a simple thing to do(I.e., just look at the price tag on the hanger). I really dislike it when shop assistants make you do the leg work or pass the buck instead of sorting a problem themselves.
