This is not even a proper park but more a big square of green land. Still, its size makes it a suitable place for a dog walk, and there is plenty of space for a kick around, in addition to the enclosed 5-a-side pitch on one side of the park. Situated in Levenshulme close to the main railway line joining Manchester Piccadilly to Liverpool, this park is almost always very empty. Even on a hot summers day you wont find many frequenters. This makes it one of the better places for a game of football or even a picnic if you do live around there, or if you’re willing to travel. Its been a green space since the dairy farm that previously stood there collapsed in the early twentieth century, and though several plans have been made to develop the area, none have followed through. Green Bank Fields then remains a green square. So if you’re in the market for a green square, then it wont disappoint.
