The service was great only waited 15⁄20 mins for breakfast, the food was lovely and great value for money at the airport. I woukd definatly return if I was flying from terminal 1 at manchester airport. The restaurant overlooked the airport so gets you in the holiday mood. Highly reccomend

Breakfast before the holiday. 3 of our group had the normal breakfast, which was just that… normal. I had the mexican breakfast, and having had traditional breakfasts in mexico, i can categorically say that this place rocks. The breakfast was fab, and really filling. Service was good– and my smoothie came with a giraffe in it. It was awesome.

Great food, fast service. Only 4 breakfast options though & no pancakes which were on the internet menu although this might be due to airport location. No issues with changing parts of breakfast for others ie tomatoes for mushrooms. Great selection of smoothies which are refreshing for morning airport starts

Giraffe is usually a kind of what you see is what you get type place. So I came here while waiting for my flight home to Hamburg and had a perfectly nice burger, with cheese and jalapeño peppers. Friendly and efficient staff, food came pretty quickly, wasn’t expensive. Clean bright, slightly tatty menus but I guess they are well used more or less 24 hours a day. That’s it really.

It’s hard to review and give a rating for a place like this — Giraffe attempts to improve the waiting-at-an-aiport experience by providing a colourful, relaxing and less depressing environment in which to enjoy a nice meal before your flight, which it succeeds in doing to some extent. However having(some) unfriendly waiters running round like headless chickens and shouting across the room, together with having your order(possibly) forgotten and hence your food being delayed and causing you to panic about missing your flight(not to mention annoyed at how much this all costed) was not the ideal situation! I think you’ll agree that one of the most infuriating things to ever happen in a restaurant is if someone who came much later than you is served their main meals before you. Now imagine if the next set of people were also then served before you! We were told the reason the food took long was due to the dishes we had ordered. Something along the lines of: they have to be prepared freshly and thus take longer than burgers etc, which is fair enough, to some extent. But it would have been good to know this beforehand. We were definitely under the impression that they had forgotten to give our order to the kitchen. The only saving graces were the very friendly and apologetic guy running the place, and the actually very tasty food(when it did eventually arrive!) Overall, if you don’t have much time before your flight, DON’T go there.

Most airport restaurants are soul-draining, extortionately-priced characterless monstrosities that realise air passengers are a captive audience and that they can charge them stupid money for terrible food. Giraffe in Manchester Airport was a very very welcome relief when our flight was delayed by 12 hours. The staff were friendly, and it was a very comfortable place to sit and watch the planes going in and out(except our plane). It has a properly international menu that will mix up Italian, British, Indian, and American food styles, and the prices are only slightly more than you’d find in the High Street. It’s Air-side so unless you’re flying from Manchester Airport you won’t be able to use it. But if you are flying from Manchester and you’ve got a little time between checking in and your flight, Giraffe is where to pass the time.
