I was looking to get my nails done for a wedding so I relied on Essential Spa to sort me out a day before. I’m really bad for the last minute job but here’s hoping it was to do the trick. A £25 manicure should not disappoint.
45 minutes later my nails appeared preened and organically treated. Organically treated? Never heard of that before but score I guess. Me and my nails were ready to impress. I had a nosy at what else was on offer here, a lot. Tranquility scalp massage? anti-​cellulite treatment? deep tissue hot stone massage? There’s a few alternative treatments on offer as well as the St Tropex tanning, waxing and various facial delights.
The problem with salons affiliated with gyms is apparent with this place. For the full 45 minutes I was subject to gym goers flowing through and out. She sat me right by the entrance. Just because I aren’t getting a massage or whatever I still deserved some bit of privacy. Marks down for that.
