So this is also a relatively new little local haunt in Ancoats square and only a quick rainbow ride from my mates apartment in Royal Mills. I have been twice but the first time was with the ex so the review was tainted by the bitterness of not my coffee but the company. Anyway no matters. This review is more considered and thoughtful as I sit here pedalling on the bike in the gym. And yes it is a Friday not a Sunday but don’t fear my little warriors I’m out Friday and Saturday so the Sunday reviews will not be absent. Ok back to business. So this is a quaint little place. What you see is what you get and by that I mean as you enter you have a full view of the place, bar at the back and kitchen upstairs. The staff/owners are very welcoming Whether they know you or not. Makes it feel like your a regular the moment you step foot in the door. The tables let you look out on the square and if your lucky cute boys on skateboards will do a little routine for you. There is also an interesting collection of cameras on the wall in a decorative arty style I would imagine designed to make you think and slip away into your own thoughts while sipping your coffee and watching the world go by. So we went with little legs mini me my lad Cam and Aunty Chris(who’s a boy and hates the fact we hate calling him Aunty. I am actually laughing now) There was a cool antique and delicate sewing machine on the table that my lad thoroughly enjoyed exploring and playing with. Although I imagine a collectors item so I could feel the tension from the girl behind that bar as he whizzed it round. We moved it to another table after shortly after. lol So on this occasion we were not very adventurous no started just 3 Sunday roasts. Well actually 2 and a kids version which was cool. We also had a little glass of vino to help wash it down. And a Fresh apple juice as I am a responsible parent ha! It came in good time. Served with a smile. It was piping hot. They asked what sauces etc and anticipated our ask for more gravy and it appeared without even me moving my lips. The food was good. Thick gravy crispy roasties crunchie veg. The meat was a little tough which is only think that didn’t get full stars from me. It was also very moderately priced. I would definitely go back. Maybe some next time for breakfast and coffee. In peace. Lol

Stumbled across this little place after eating at Rudy’s. It was really quiet which was refreshing for a bar on a Saturday night. It’s tucked away in the middle of a housing area in Ancoats so unless you lived around that area or were visiting Rudy’s I doubt you would ever know it existed. We just popped in for a couple of drinks, we had a long day at the Beer Festival and just wanted a quiet night so this place was perfect. They do breakfast and light lunch type of food, nothing fancy by the looks of it but good, reasonably priced food. The décor was really cool, a mix of graffiti, old school cameras and singer sewing machines. it was £2.80 for a small wine so it didn’t break the bank either. The music was chilled although cleared played through spotify as the advert played every few songs. I liked this place and if I was ever in the area again I will head back there. I wasn’t blown away by it but it served it’s purpose nicely and the staff were friendly.
