Large pub just near to the Village Hotel in Ashton-under-lyne. It’s main draw is its wide selection of carvery ranging from £4.65 to £9.99 depending on the size & day of the week. There’s a huge menu if you don’t want a carvery… everything from curries, fish & chips, chicken dishes or smaller meals(sandwiches, wraps etc). The other main drawer is the huge cake selection. Gigantic homemade cakes in the chilled counter, definitely for sharing! And the ice cream counter, everything the kid on you wants for a pudding!

Good wholesome food in extremely large portions. Prices are reasonable & you won’t leave without feeling well-filled.Service is fast & efficient. Recommended not just by me but by an almost full car park whenever I have been.

Lovely carvary and especially the cake. I got an éclair and it was that big i couldn’t eat it all. But they kindly boxed it up for me so i could take it home. All the staff were really helpful and friendly and would recommend to others

Wow — great to find a decent carvery where the food actually tastes yummy, it’s been cared for! The staff actually love working here and are helpful, this Recently opened gastropub is packed — great service from the bar staff, front of house and carvers– 3 cask ales and full bar including non alcohol beer. Ash ale is going down nicely. Great Menu, specials and carvery. Good place for kids as play area for families which is away from the adult dining. situated fantastically near ten pin bowling and cinema. Puddings– Maltezer cheesecake and chocolate brownie Sunday– huge portions, and yeh worth being a belly buster– though they have cake out! Enjoy, a rare 5 stars well done.

This place had a massive hype so we decided to go and check it out. Disappointed doesn’t even come close. The food wasn’t bad. But it wasn’t good either! There’s no atmosphere and there’s no wow factor of an amazing aroma as soon as you walk in! For the price you pay, you could go to one of manchesters top restaurants for not much more! Another thing is the desserts. Everyone has been going on about the cakes and ice cream there for weeks! They have them all lined up in a cabinet so of course, you have a look and see toffee ice cream with actual tofifees in it! ‘Wow!’ And bubblegum ice cream with real balls of bubblegum in it! ‘Ever better!’ So you order them both and just get a plain scoop of ice cream from a tub which is nothing like what they show you! and for £1.80 a scoop! WHAT?! I could have bought the whole tub you just got that one scoop from!!! So overall, I won’t be returning! And as I can recall, I wasn’t the only one unimpressed as there was a lady behind me complaining that she had found hairs in her food, not that they wanted to do much about it and just replied with ‘the kitchen staff wear hats!‘ Brilliant customer service you have!(Not!)
