This place is far from authentic. I didn’t taste the sun of the Med in any of the food. I didn’t taste much to be honest. They flirted with flavour which left me frustrated wanting more. Everything could have done with more seasoning at the very least. And those roasted tomatoes on my fish would have better served a salad — had they seen an oven? Who knows. So why 3 stars? THETIRAMISU. Golly gosh. It is spectacular. I don’t often order dessert but now thinking back to what I might have missed I can’t chance that any longer.

A small restaurant tucked away in a courtyard off Church Street in the centre of Malvern, serving a varied mediterranean style menu. The food is excellent and cooked fresh, but if you’re in a hurry for the theatre/cinema ask what can be done more quickly. Fine wine and the usual foreign beers are backed up by a very affordable Weston’s Organic Cider. It’s good value for money, especially on the Malvern scale, but if you’re looking for cheap then go to one of the chain restaurants and get what you pay for. If at first glance it looks busy, check closely as there’s more tables upstairs. Should summer ever arrive, it’ll be great sitting out in the evening at the tables in the courtyard around the fig tree.

Food looked lovely on the menu but actually was very bland and uninteresting. Out of 4 people only one person’s dish was nice but nothing to shout about, especially consdering the price. The service was diabolically slow. We didn’t even bother with a pudding because we didn’t want to sepnd anymore money there so left hungary aswell. I am an easily pleased person so for me to complain it must be bad. Very dissapointed!

Held my hubbies 65th birthday party at the Fig Tree. Excellent food and ambience. Great time had by everybody. Our party of 18 included adults and children. Lunches are awsome and the best coffee in Great Malvern.

that’s odd, cirtus 68, because the Fig Tree doesn’t serve chips, soggy or otherwise. I’ve eaten there several times and the food has always been fab. they do brilliant breakfasts as well as ‘proper’ meals

Excellent independent Mediterranean style restaurant. Authentic, serving great home crafted meals and wonderful coffee. Nicely styled and good value for money.
