A real ale pub offering good homemade food. Our meats are locally sourced as are our ales. We have an excellent menu for vegetarians, vegans and coeliacs too.

We do allow well behaved dogs into the pub but not during food service, you are more than welcome to have them in the garden.

A lovely little country pub with a twist.
In amongst the standard fayre The Wheatsheaf has an extensive vegetarian and vegan menu.
The vegan menu is mostly pub grub favourites but fantastically prepared with real attention to detail. Lasagna; burgers; lentil fritters etc.
You can also choose from a variety of faux cheeses and can have such rare treats as vegan cheesey chips; cheesey garlic bread; bespoke vegan pizzas and so on.
From memory they also have vegan beers.
Highly recommended but make sure you book well in advance as it’s (deservedly) popular.
