Riverside Racing

I’ve never been big on betting myself. Seeing as I’ve spent most of my life as a student, I’ve never had much money of my own full stop, never mind enough to potentially throw away (I’m a glass half empty kind of guy when it comes to gambling).
My experiences with bookies are generally limited to occasional trips to William Hill to put on a few accumulators (that never come through, obviously) so it’s nice to see the inside of a small, more independent company once in a while.
This bookies in Maghull always reminds me a bit of that one in Trainspotting where he goes into the toilet out back and falls in (yes, that scene) except it’s nowhere near as grotty (although it is generally filled with middle-​aged angry men).
