This campsite, part of the New Forest, was very pleasant and I would certainly recommend others to visit if the weather report says it’s going to be a nice, sunny weekend. We planned our trip months in advance, so it didn’t quite go to plan weather-wise(despite it being the beginning of August… welcome to England), but pack a mac and a hoody with your T shirts and you’re prepared for all conditions. The site itself was very clean and close enough to the A31 to escape to civilisation, if needs be. No showers or electricity on site though, so be prepared to slum it a little. Horses also roam freely round this part of the country, which is quite nice and makes things interesting– they’re quite harmless, but leave any food out or attempt any ad-lib bare-back riding, and your tent might not last the night.
