I love dollar stores. Especially dollar stores that carry trendy things that other stores are charging WAY TOO MUCH for comparable items. Such as nail polish strips. I would not pay $ 11 for nail polish strips because I’m a cheap old duck. However, I will pay 2 pounds for them. Is that how much they cost? I forget now.
And you can buy a whole 10 pack of Curly Wurlies for 1 pound. 1 Curly Wurly is the best bribe to get a 9 year old girl to behave. Feed them sugar. Then send them home.

This is one of the best Boyes I’ve been to. For a small market town, this is one of the main and best places to shop in Louth. This has a huge downstairs and a big habidashery upstairs too. It really does sell a little bit of everything and is easily located in the centre of the town.

Gotta love Boyes! Where would Louth be without this stalwart store? Everything from knitting needles to cheap shampoo is available behind its traditional façade on Mercer Row, and you need to pop in regularly to find the latest bargains. It’s also the source of the best, easiest to wash primary school uniform in the town.
My mainstays from Boyes are wellies (for the children), shampoo/​conditioner/​moisturiser and the like, and sewing supplies. Even though the store is quite small they invariably have what you need, and the staff are helpful if you ask for guidance.
I do get annoyed by the constant shelf-​filling though, and trolleys of stock in the aisles which make it hard to browse with a pram. I think the layout is a bit daft, as well, and could do with a re-​think.

Boyes is a fantastic little shop based in Mercer Row the town centre of Louth, it has a very central location as the town centre is not really too far from anywhere is Louth it is a convenient place to shop!
From clothes and shoes to curtains and kettles you can pretty much get anything you are looking for at Boyes and at a reduced cost which is always a nice little bonus!
The only downside i have ever found to Boyes is that the shop is probably too small for what they want it for and everything is very squished together where they have so much stuff crammed in!
The shop is clean and the staff are friendly and in the 18 months i was living in Louth, Boyes saved me a fortune on Dora the Explorer Clothes for my 2 little girls!

This branch of Boyes is in the small market town of Louth and feels very old fashioned inside. A two story shop it sells all sorts of clothing and undies for all sexs and children, shoes, bedding, curtains, kitchen stuff, stationary, towels, floor coveringsthe rugs are nice. toiletries and cosmetics, toys, sweets .a great line of DIY tools and materials.
Upstairs feels quite small but has tons of fabrics and offcuts, lace and other haberdashery, knitting wools, fabrics and crafts materials. There are often big queues for the checkouts and the staff are a bit slow but it is a gem of a shop selling almost everything.
