Being the only real 24 hour pharmacy in London –any may be even the UK means that this pharmacy serves a very important role should an emergency happen in the middle of the night or at holidays, my daughters seem to be choosing to get sick on weekend evenings where even the supermarkets are closed! Recently a friend’s father died while on vacation here, the mother had her medication finished just before she had the new priscription dispensed, if it wasn’t for the pharmacy she would have had to have an agonising wait at some A+E department or stay without vital medications until the morning. It seems like that they have put thier hand on the adjacent shop for the provision of private medical services but they still have not opened there.

I called this place to ask if they had a medication I needed in stock. The person on the phone could not understand what I was saying and was asking me me unrelated questions. I tried to spell the medication to them and they kept repeating it back to me wrong even when I used N for November etc. They put me on hold and I could hear them chattering away in some foreign language in the background and they never came back to phone so I hung up. It’s absolutely disgusting that a pharmacy should have someone who can’t speak fluent English answering the phone. I can only imagine if you gave them your prescription; they’d give you the wrong drugs. Absolutely incompetent and rude to say the least. Very dissapointed. I hope I can find another late night pharmacy that knows their stuff and understands me.

A chemist open 24 hours. Not much to get excited about, but if you don’t know where one is, sod’s law says you’ll need it. It is a decent-sized place, with a doctor available for consultations if necessary.
