Yijo — Korean BBQ Restaurant specializes in authentic Korean cuisine and Charcoal BBQ on the tables.
Yes, you got it: each of our tables is equipped with a built-in charcoal BBQ and allows you to be the Chef for the night while you cook away our delicious prime cuts of meat like Wagyu Rib Eye, beef short ribs, pork belly, etc…
You will also find a wide range of traditional dishes like Bibimbap, Jjigae, Kimbap, Pajeon, Yukhoe (Korean Steak tartare), Bossam (slow cooked pork belly), Jokbal (Slow-cooked pig trotters), etc. And our famous Jeongol (large hotpot to share)!
Yijo is also THE place if you want to learn more about Korean cuisine in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. With only 7 students maximum per class, you will be able to talk with the Chef and ask as many questions as you want.
We offer a range of cooking classes, from Kimbap (Korean rice rolls), Homemade Tofu, Bulgogi and of course the now famous Kimchi.
History

About Yijo and Chef Jun Pyo Kwon:
After working for the last 15 years in prestigious restaurants in South Korea and London, Chef Jun Pyo Kwon took over Yijo Restaurant in Finchley Central, one of the oldest Korean restaurants in London, at the end of 2013.
Yijo is now «Yijo — Korean BBQ Restaurant» and specializes in authentic Korean cuisine. After bringing real charcoal BBQ tables from Korea for you to have the real Korean BBQ experience, the Chef and his manager decided in February 2014 to launch a cookery school. You can now learn how to make your favourite Korean dishes with our Head Chef!
