History

Established in 2003.

Starting life as a simple guitar shop, round the corner from Denmark Street at 55 St Giles High Street. Wunjo’s soon out-grew its first home, and in 2006 made the move round the corner to 20 Denmark Street where it has resided ever since. In that time, we’ve tried to buck the trend of the stereotypical guitar shop, always allowing our customers to pick up and try guitars out whether they are buying or not, and ‘do deals’, negotiating the best prices in the UK. Thus, over the years, we’ve become known as Denmark Street’s friendliest guitar shop. Wunjos has now expanded its business at 20 Denmark Street into numbers 22 and 23 with bass and keyboard shops respectively. We also have our online shop at www.wunjoguitars.com where you can ‘Make Us an Offer’, allowing customers to barter online for the first time ever. Onwards and upwards!

Meet the Business Owner

Brian R.

Business Owner

Brian is the man we must all thank for giving the world Wunjo Guitars. He flirted with professional careers in football and music before he did a Jack Kerouac and went off to find himself America. He came back (presumably with himself) and went to Luthier’s college before becoming a repair man at what used to be Andy’s. In 2003, Wunjo Guitars was born in the cosy St Giles Street shop just round the corner from Denmark Street where we now happily reside. He likes the old stuff that hardly anyone has heard of, and has lately developed a penchant for old things that no-one can afford. Brian is also a keen golfer, and lives with his wife and daughter in North London.
