Went for lunch, and had a good experience overall. We had oysters for starter, then I had a king prawn for my main. The oysters were fresh, though slightly overpriced. After the meal, we were told that they do oyster happy hours 3−5pm every day for £1 per oyster, so try to aim for that. My king prawn was good, though also overpriced for the quantity, I would say. Service was generally good and prompt. We sat outdoors as it was a sunny day and really enjoyed the experience. Would recommend it if the weather permits. All in all, a great seafood place, but do be warned about the prices!

You got to have the oyster shot! The oysters are excellent and the special oyster(I don’t remember the name of the ones I ordered) very good. Mine had fresh grated Wasabi, quite fiery but truely excellent. The restaurant while separated into smaller room is a bit big compared the the other Wright and looses a bit of the vibrancy due to that. Service was good.

Really good seafood platters! The Cumbrae oysters were amazing. On happy hour in the afternoon they are 1£ each, perfect shopping break. Also the service was great. I can really recommend this restaurant if you like seafood.

The seafood platter was terrific and had we stopped there, I would have given a solid 4 stars but unfortunately for us we also ordered other items on their menu. The tuna sashimi, salmon sashimi, and lobster salad came with a very sweet dressing. So sweet, it completely bludgeoned the delicate flavours of the seafood components. I really wish we just continued with a second platter of fresh seafood. More often than not less is more and simple, fresh flavours are the best.

Easy to find in a very busy Soho, with two entrances from either side. There are signs of happy hour £1 oysters but the menu prices for dinner are far from that value. We went for a platter as there were 5 of us eating. We worked our way through prawns, razor clams, mussels, winkles, oysters(of course). The platter itself was good, but with the flavours reliant on the sauces we had to also order a lobster salad. The lobster salad intrigued us with its pairing with papaya and foie gras. The flavour was quite a disappointment — far too sweet and not complimenting the lobster flesh whatsoever. The papaya was more like green mango and there were seeds randomly added in — it did not work. The main I ordered the roast cod — it came with samphires, mushrooms and truffle oil. The sauce was creamy and rich and the flakiness of the cod was lost in this sauce. The wine was good — Australian pinot noir, but I wanted more flavour from the dishes cooked rather than remembering the wine. I will be back… for the £1 oysters and maybe the platter. Join me for a happy hour of oysters? ;)

very nice oyster especially cumbrae from scotland. 33gbp is a valuable price. We can test 6 kind of oysters once. That’s great. And everybody should try beef kikita as well. A kind of beef with blood, but it’s fabulous.

I’ve only gone in for the oyster happy hour(m-f, 3 – 6) and it’s one of the best deals in London. The oysters are high quality, the space is beautiful and the staff have always been very friendly. Add on a few glasses of prosecco and I think it’s the perfect Happy Hour spot.

I’m not a huge oyster fan, but their oysters were very good and fresh. Their fish was so fresh. My husband had the sea bass and I had the Dorset cod. Everything was so fresh and cooked perfectly. The kids loved their kid’s fish and chips. Worth the long wait!

A great seafood place in the heart of Soho. We booked a table for lunch and we arrived to a friendly hostess that promptly seated up. We decided to get half a dozen special Dutch oysters, some cucumber oysters and wasabi oysters. My wife and I have an annual ritual of going to our favorite oyster bar in Paris every time we travel to Paris, so you can say we are big oyster fans. We found the Dutch oysters to be ok, in comparsion with the French. However what surprised us were the wasabi flavored oysters. Interesting and quite tasty. While we prefer the old school way of eating, it was refreshing to try something new. We ordered some mussels and snails, which wasnt bad but we still prefer the French way of cooking. We ordered a fish for the main dish and decided to share. The outside was done nicely, however once we de-boned it ourselves, we found the center to be completely undercooked. We brought this to the restaurant staff and she was quicked to handle it. About 10~15 minutes later, a new fish was brought out and it was done perfectly. Great attentive service and quick to take care of the issue. The seafood was good and I would consider going back when Im in the area.

Started with the oyster selection and was in heaven. Love that they have mini signs in front of the oysters so that you knew what you were going to eat. The staff were very good at helping with selections. I had the soft shell crab for my main and it was perfect. Added a goats cheese salad which was out of this world(amazing dressing and cool ‘greens’). Will go back for another date night.

I came for a half dozen oysters at happy hour… Oyster happy hour is 3pm-6pm daily, oysters are £1 each. I sat outside facing the communal seating area inside Kingly Court. Oysters were tasty, but the abductor muscles had been left attached so some butchery was necessary to free the little buggers from their shells. Simple dressings of fresh lemon and mignonette were plentiful. House wine was crisp and quaffable, a perfect accompaniment to the oysters. Service was attentive and friendly.

Go during happy hour. £1 an oyster. That’s a great deal. Had a fair few with some good stout which the barman advised would go well with the oysters(and they certainly did). Has an absolutely stunning interior too. You wouldn’t think that when you are coming from a modest outside of the place.

On my quest to find the best oysters in London I had to visit Wright Brothers. I got there around opening time so there was not an electric feeling to the place, other than their funky light bulbs. That said, I was greeted promptly and educated on the differences of their oyster offerings. They were all great but I think the best thing about this place was that they turned me on to using the green Tabasco sauce to spice up my oysters. Now I probably live a 4 hour drive from where they make that stuff and I had to come to London to learn about it. But thank god I did. Me and the wife are thinking of packing a bottle in her purse every time we go out to a local place at home in Texas. A little lemon and green Tabasco will top horseradish and cocktail sauce any day. Their presentation here is also very thoughtful. Each type of oyster we ordered was marked with its name on a oyster shell tucked above it. Like true tourists, we nabbed them all and took them home so we can frame them in a shadow box as an ode to our love of oysters. Scuse’ the pun, but Wright Brothers is flying high in our book. Would definitely visit again on our next trip across the pond.

We had walked in the area a while ago but didn’t have the time to stop for some oysters. But this time we decided to stop by. And this was an excellent decision. The place itself is very cosy and friendly, hidden in a small court next to Carnaby street. There’s two main areas, next to the small court with high tables and on the street side with regular table. And a huge terrace outside. Pick your preferred one. We loved staying on the high tables. As for food: I’d just go for the oysters. Lots of choices, delicious and fresh. They even have their own production which we found very nice also. Of course we tried other items of the menu, one or two were average(the ceviche) of hers were excellent(the king crab, the salmon, etc.) All this combined with a good choice of drink. Service is also friendly and efficient. So all in all a great place to go for seafood in London :-)

Very pricey restaurant(oyster bar) located in Soho area. I went in for their after-hours special. 1 pound for 1 oyster. When I told them I wanted the special and wanted different osyters, they said its’ only one type of oysters for the special. So i ordered 10 and it was fresh and delicious. I think the waiter was kind of looking at me cheap as that’s all i ordered. But when I gave him a big tipe, he was all smiles and helpful with my questions about the area and where to shop. I don’t blame him. I would not come back here as the prices are just too much.

Ok, if I fancy oysters I shall go here — that’s my resolution. First time ever I was asked which type of oysters I like. My answer was genuine — ‘I didn’t know there is many!’ I then asked the waiter to talk me through the different types. The waiter explained them and we definitely selected a good one! I recommend going for a dozen and choose a few types on one platter so that you can taste the difference. I like the bar area a lot, as also — if you sit there fast service is guaranteed. We sat at the area upstairs so the service was slower which would’ve been unfortunate, but fortunately we weren’t in a rush! My dad and I ordered a sea bass to share — don’t be fooled — the seabass portion served there is huge! Definitely a main course for two! And it also very simply cooked — lemon and rosemary, so the main thing you taste — is really just fresh fish!

FRESHSEAFOOD! Their seafood are fresh and delicious. The customer services were amazing. The place is very small but nice. I ordered many different raw oysters, mussels, clams and also steamed mussels and they were all very fresh. Seafood lovers MUSTGO!!!

I travel to London on business quite often and am always trying to find nice restaurants… Passing by SoHo one night the bottom level of the restaurant and the kitchen caught my eye and I walked in… It was a very busy friday night, but I was seated within 5 – 10 minutes. Now every time I am in London I have to have a meal here! This place can suit for anything — from a buzzing spot for a birthday celebration to a romantic dinner night. I love that it has several levels, each one with its own feel, as well as a cozy courtyard for summer outings. Often times when I am on my own I request a seat at the middle level, right at the bar and then enjoy a conversation with bartenders and staff who are very helpful and nice. The selection of seafood is outstanding and I love that a lot of items have no extra ingredients — just the freshest seafood for all tastes. The fish soup is amazing, served with a perfect combination of crostini and shredded cheese. I often skip the main course and instead enjoy a variety from their raw bar — shrimp, cod roe, cured salmon, oysters, but a few mains with cod and haddock that I tried were also very good.
