History
Established in 1972.
Historically the present site was, as it is now, home to a garden centre.
However, the population boom of the 1800’s saw the Victorian Planning Authorities build an array of housing on the plot. During the Blitz this area was severely bombed decimating the site, which was left dormant until the 1960’s when a rebuild was planned. As fate would have it, three of the building contractors went bust.
At this point the founder’s dream and providence stepped in. His vision was to restore the one acre site to its original heritage by recreating a garden centre serving the public, a tranquil haven amidst the busy metropolis of the Kings Road that would endure. As testament, he planted an Oak tree, a symbol of longevity. The tree became the emblem of the garden centre and proudly stands today.
Worlds End remains true to that heritage. Built upon a strong foundation of family values, an excellent array of garden products, married with expertise and intimate customer service at its core.
