I am totally disgusted with the customer service here. My boyfriend and I were visiting the Clapham Junction area and stopped in Wine World to buy some beer. The signs ALLOVER the beer refrigerator say«3 for £6, Mix and Match.» The ridiculous man at the counter apparently cannot read and doesn’t understand basic English, as the meaning of «Mix and Match» evaded him. When we tried to purchase the beer, he wouldn’t honor the price. We took him over to the refrigerator and showed him the sign, and he tried to tell us that it meant«3 for £6» of the same brand only. Obviously that is not what Mix and Match means, but after enough arguing, we went to get 3 of the same brand and HECHANGEDHISMINDAGAINANDWOULDN’T HONORTHEPRICEATALL. At that point he didn’t even bother to give a reason. Give your patronage to stores that honor their advertisements and have decent business practices. Do not waste your time here.

Very friendly service and they’re happy to make suggestions or recommendations. I mostly pop in here to stock up on a few beers and they have a decent selection and often have mix and match offers on individual bottles which allows you to try out a few different varieties. They also have a good stock in the fridges so you can buy your beer cold and ready to drink.

Wine World is a convenient(for me) little off-licence perched on the corner of Spencer Road and St John’s Hill. The focus is very much on wine although there is a small selection of beer(mainly mainstream labels) and spirits(a bit more interesting). The wine selection features a few interesting bottles(especially from New Zealand) but is generally fairly humdrum with lots of large scale producers to the fore. Consequently, Wine World would not be where I would head for a special bottle and I mainly find myself popping in here to grab something when all other options have been exhausted!
