Westminster House Dental Practice

I’m a bit afraid of the dentist. I’m not really sure why, but I am. It also takes me a very, VERY long time to trust one after a bad experience with a rogue one way back when. I’ve been going to Westminster House Dental Practice for about 4 years, and it’s only now that I finally feel I can authentically write a review about them. Why, you crazy lady, I hear you ask. Well, a dentist is a pretty personal thing in my opinion, I didn’t feel I could write my review of this place purely based on my last 4 years of easy regular check ups.
Then, hey presto, last xmas I was struck down by the most terrible searing pain in my jaw ever. I got an emergency appointment (for the next day) at WHDP, aided on the phone by the loveliest receptionist lady ever (she’s nice in person too). They fitted me on on a Friday night after 5pm, which I appreciate probably wasn’t their idea of fun for the start of the weekend. It became clear I had a tooth which needed fixing up. The dentist took me through the whole procedure and gave me both NHS and private options. The whole way through, he kept telling me what was going on. That’s important when you’re a bit dental paranoid (like me). The procedure was painless and I am now not suffering with any repercussions.
To conclude, these guys are professional, reliable, and they don’t do stuff to your teeth just to cash-​in. I really, truly, honestly, cross my heart and swear to die, recommend this place to other Unilocalers.
Three pointers I think would be useful to future dentist goers:
1. WHDP is an NHS dentist that also offers private services. That means if you’re a UK resident, you can get check-​ups for 17 GBP. If you’re international– you can pay privately instead (not sure of cost).
2. They are a 5 minute walk from Westminster tube. You don’t have to live in the area to sign up with the dentist (I travel in from SE London every time I come)
3. Dr Guenin is my dentist– feel free to ask for him.
I won’t say «enjoy» like I normally do at the end of a five star review since it’s the dentist, but seriously, this is the best you’re going to get.
