Very helpful. I needed to buy a film and was absolutely clueless. Perfect service, I was told everything about my options and what I wanted. Will definitely go back!!!

This is a great little camera shop for film enthusiasts — especially for American tourists! The photo posted here on Unilocal showing what looks like a wall film is true. There is a wide variety of film from B&W to color. You can find Kodak, Fuji, Lomo, Adox, Rollei, etc here. The prices are very reasonable too. I didn’t catch the name of the owner but he is a very nice gentlemen. He’s easy to get along with and have a chat with. We exchanged stories on technology, photography, and traveling the Sierra Nevadas. Plenty of customers walk in off the street to buy everything from paper to film. 5 stars all the way. I wish this shop were larger, especially when lots of customers are inside … but it seems like everything is compact in London.

This place is excellent! They have a great range of film, some bargains and they know what they’re talking about. If you want a Holga it’s cheaper than the heinous Lomo store and they have all sorts of nick nacks. You can get a Digitaliza here when they’re out of stock in both of the official distributors and trust me, if you scan 135 or 120 on a flatbed you do want a Digitaliza and its an independant. Support them! Where else in London can you buy Rollei film stock?

Independent camera shops are as rare as hen’s teeth these days so it’s a relief to discover these guys at the very north end of TCRd. If you’re at all interested in proper photography(ie with proper film) they should be your first port of call for your ‘in town’ photography treats. They offer a good selection of common film stocks; 120, 35 mm and some really obscure ones like 127 roll film for Brownie cameras etc! More importantly they have wet lab processing at reasonable prices. It’s easy to get fobbed off with ink jet prints of your negs in this digital age but there’s no substitute to getting your precious negatives printed as they were intended. Digital photography is a great medium — no doubts BUT it is drowning out traditional film, without supporting establishments like this we will inevitably be robbed of the choice between Traditional or Digital photography. Mark my words!

These guys for a small independent store have a wide ranging stock in both new and used cameras. I was searching for a Tameron lens and still being well within the ranks of the novice photographer, I enjoy talking a little shop with the attendants to learn the odd tidbit of knowledge. As you may expect the attendant knew what he was talking about, and if the store was a little quieter, we may of struck up a deep and meaningful conversation about the technological advancement in photography. If you are looking for cheap deals on equipment, West End Cameras is no better than the next store. With so many camera outlets along this strip, there is no hard and fast rule to picking out a gem amongst them. Yet West End Camera does have a great range of products and the technical know how to help you choose what is right for you.

Great little shop. Customer service here is second to none: Staff are knowledgable, enthusiastic and very approachable. Mainly use them for developing my 35 mm film and they are competitively priced and efficient. Great selection of film stock and even some second hand gear too. Highly recommended.
