Wasabi’s sushi and hot food is actually pretty decent, I would choose it way over itsu, EAT etc.

Staff Stupid bloody packaging. Could open the soya sauce and then it squirted all over my WHITE dress. Couldn’t open the ginger either. Struggled with the wasabi. So annoyed that I couldn’t enjoy lunch.

Very convenient and cheap. 5 stars for what it is. If this place is in the US, the rice would be as hard as rock(but here it’s actually good).

I’m from Hawaii so the chilly and damp weather here in London makes me crave a bowl of hot noodles, preferably ramen or saimin. We saw the sign for Wasabi on our walk back to our hotel and were pleasantly surprised to see hot noodles on the menu. The drill here is pick up sushi, premade bento boxes and noodles from the cold fridge section and take it to the cashier for payment. Hot broth is added for the noodle dishes and heated in a microwave while you pay and wait for your order. There’s also hot dishes(imagine buffet!) with choices like chicken katsu, curry, yakisoba noodles, etc. These portions are huge! So why the 3 and not 4 or 5 stars? Well, on Hawaii it’s also about the broth. This broth here was so light to the point of blandness. When something is billed as tantan style, you expect that rich sesame and natural saltiness that makes the vegetables and wakame sing together in harmony on your palate. I’m afraid Gomaichi in Keeaumoku Street in Honolulu has spoiled me for any other similar broth. The restaurant is clean and bright, with neon green acrylic chairs and clear acrylic tables. A happy find for those who want a light meal at the end of a long day.

the place is cool for quick bite but the avocado was too thin as were the fishes on the rolls. the soup shouldn’t be microwaved. they should just have a large bowl to scoop from to make it more fresh. overall it wasn’t bad but i wouldn’t go often b/c i felt it wasn’t a great deal

Wasabi is one of the better restaurants in London. I like the sushi and its not that expensive. I like the location and its close to bars when you feel like going out for a drink after some nice sushi at wasabi.

I have never written a review in my life. But I was so pleased by this place that I have to. Coming from New York it is always easy to get sushi. Being in london it is a little tough. Wasabi offers options, freshness, cleanliness, and really cheap prices. The food is delicious, there are tons of things to try, and its simple a fun quick place to go. Highly, highly HIGHLY recommend this place. Is it the best I have ever had? Not by a long shot, is it amazing for what it is. Absolutely

Forgive me, but I was SO surprised to see a Japanese restaurant in London. I was curious as to how the food was going to taste since I had my fair share of Japanese food and, being Japanese myself I’m picky when it comes to that type of cuisine. I was very happy with what I bought. What made me extra happy was having sticky white rice like back home! I thought, «Wow, this is so awesome!»(I know, I’m weird). I ordered chicken, I believe. Very tasty. There is a lot of sushi to choose from on the shelves and the front counter has more food(which is where I bought my stuff). The restaurant is spotless and I liked their sign, haha. Highly recommend it. I looked at their website and(if you live in London) you can place orders online and get it delivered! How cool is that?! Awesome place for Japanese food.

Good grief, can a Wasabi please open up in the U.S.!? I LOVE this place. First, because it has healthy options and it is considered a fast food restaurant! They sell nigiri sushi here, it looks fresh and it is even cheaper then what we pay for in the States. I love this place too because it is a grab and go and affordable. And you have the option of ordering hot foods at the counter. You can also order onigiri, temaki, boxed sushi sets, salads and sides. Bf and I needed a break after a long day of walking and we stumbled upon Wasabi. Actually, what caught my eye was that they were selling green tea ice cream for 99 pence. It was good by the way. Yum. =) We also tried a mixed rice dish that came with seaweed and pieces of sashimi on top. It was spicy. A really good, fresh and healthy portion of food. We shared it and I was very satisfied. The only thing that I didn’t like about this place is that the seating is limited. There is tons of open space near the ordering counter, but the seating is pushed near the entrance. The good news people don’t mind sharing tables in the U.K. =)

This is where you enter looking for something really healthy and end up taking out the most tastylicious looking thing on the shelf which in turn turns out to be healthy!

This is a consistently good place to go for sushi and some bento box hot items. The fish turns over rapidly, so it’s fresh. Is it as good as omakase at a great sitdown sushi place? Of course not. Is it a terrific choice for lunch, snack, or quick dinner? Absolutely yes. Go.

Lets face it, shopping is a work out. A workout leads to hunger and grumpy Liana until she is fed. Stumbling upon this and trying to avoid pubs or an even emptier wallet, my face lit up. The soba noodle ramen was filling and cheap by tourist London standards. The sushi looked a bit skeptical when I was there, but that was also around 6pm when it was probably sitting there all day, so I’m sure its good enough during lunch time.

I found this place when I was starving and wondering what I could eat after spending too long on a bus. its midday and the last time I ate was 4pm the afternoon before and lots of booze. I nearly walked past but something made me turn and there it was!!! I am so in love with this place. its healthy, its fresh, its clean, its friendly, its delicious, its clean!!! I didnt know it existed. I had a mini chirashi salad and tuna and mustard onigiri plus some water for a 5er. It is the nicest sushi ive had in a year of living here, lots of tables, lots of choices both fresh and packaged. I want to try everything on the menu. So nice to eat food that tastes so good it must be bad but instead its healthy, its fresh, its clean, its friendly, its deliciuos, I could go on and on and on…

I like mostly everything from Wasabi but if I had to choose only 1 thing, I would pick the Tuna and mustard onigiri, so tasty… I didnt rate it with 5 stars because I once tried the ramen and the soup was not as delicious as I expected… Ill have to give it a second try. How wonderful is to find Wasabi spots around London! always nice and fresh food… and they also sell aloe vera drinks! Healthy and refreshing :)

I’m not a huge fan of the individually-wrapped sushi or the fact that they charge you for wasabi, soy and ginger. Not environmentally friendly and when I’m on the verge of starvation… the last thing I want to do is unwrap each of my nigiri. No. I want to stuff it in my mouth right then and there. Nonetheless, the concept of mix-and-match sushi is pretty neat and they have a decent selection. It’s not amazing sushi but not bad either. I think I would prefer to spend my money elsewhere to get higher-quality sushi that comes with a generous dollop of wasabi, but it’s good if you’re on the run.

I was vacationing in London for a week and had nothing but bland food for 3 days. Everyone told me that London is not known for great food and boy were they right! I was also told London has the best Indian food, I’ve never liked Indian food, and their so called«best» is still not working for me. I knew I would have limited internet access when I was there so I had printed out a few places to hit up while I was across the pond. Wasabi sounded intriguing. When I walked in, I thought I was in sushi heaven! the place was nicely lit and very very clean! prices were not bad, each piece(or two) were individually wrapped so trying out a whole bunch of rolls was easier than most places that make you get four on a plate. We went ahead and picked out about 4 trays of sushi and rolls. We decided to not eat in because they actually charge a tiny bit extra for eating in and we were heading to the national gallery next anyway. The rolls were actually one of the better foods I had in my week trip, I actually wanted to go back towards the end of the trip, but«the woman» said no because there were better places to have sushi back home in Los Angeles(very very true). I would not recommend their soup noodle bowls, it was bland and the texture was not good. In short, come here if you’ve been disappointed in the food in London thus far. Expect«better» food, but not the best, if you think Wasabi is «the best» you have a lot to learn about food my friend. The difference? When you bite into good food you say«ohhh my gaud this is delicious!!! May I have another?» when you bit into Wasabi’s food, you say«hmmm, not bad, we should come back some time» oh ironic thing… for a place named«Wasabi» they actually charge for the wasabi packets… and soy sauce packets I’m posting up a bunch of pictures!

Aptly described as the pick & mix of sushi by Tankerville S, Wasabi is probably a good place to try the toppings to see which one you like and then hit a good sushi joint to get the real experience. There is a good variety of individually-wrapped sushi and you can make your own combination for a set price or get one of their combo boxes.(Sorry to Jane C, who I’ve been having conversations with about the environment!). Unfortunately, the rice is quite hard and ironically for a place called Wasabi, the sushi is missing wasabi! On the other side is a selection of hot food — the usual hot oriental takeaway food aimed at tourists. The miso soup is nice but can’t vouch for the other dishes. I would recommend Samurai on Shaftesbury Avenue if you prefer this genre of takeaway sushi.

I’ve been eating sushi since I was a little girl;My older sister introduced what I call«food of the Gods» & have been hooked ever since. It’s difficult to find a proper sushi in London; so if anyone can point us to the right direction… Moving on; Wasabi is far cheaper than YO Sushi; If you get withdrawal’s; this is the place to go for a quick fix. It’s not the greatest; but it ain’t bad. ya can’t really complain. Wasabi is a pick and mix sushi takeaway offering optional eats; noodles, chicken, salads and soup etc. There’s another location at Victoria Station which is handy if you need a snack or on the go… Be prepared to pay for your own ginger.
