This is where we have been shopping while staying in Sloane Square. It is a decent market with nice produce and the basics that you’ll need. Nothing like the grocers in the US or Paris. Where’s all the candy?

they have a pretty good selection of produce, bread, and lots and lots of wine. there is also a ton of yogurt here which i love, but it does make it hard to decide w/​that many options.

A super Waitrose in a very exclusive part of town. As such, the signage is minimal. But once you find the place, it’s a Taj Mahal of shopping. Fresh veggies in the product section, delicious meats in the butchery, fresh cheeses, olives and salads. If I lived in this part of London, I’d absolutely be shopping here! I was just wandering the neighborhood, so I only picked up a delicious crunchy French loaf to have with stuff I had already picked up elsewhere.
Because it is in such an urban location, parking may be a bit of a challenge. Note that this Waitrose offers deliver and some other Waitrose-​only services (glass loan?).

A smaller Waitrose branch serving the posh neighbourhood of Belgravia. Quite necessary, actually! There aren’t any other supermarkets near by. Motcomb Street is pretty nice with several high end boutiques in place. Christian Laboutin is just round the corner …

When I am in London I usually stay in Belgravia and this Waitrose is just a few blocks away so I will stop by here several times.
I usually pick up some water, juice, cheese and bread for our hotel room. I am not sure about there prices because I like to pretend that prices are not GBP and are USD.
This summer my son purchased some batteries from here for one of his games and opened the package to realize he bought the wrong size so we went back to the store and they let him exchange it with no problem.
Their hours are very short. The don’t open early and they close early.

Whenever you want fresh, hot and quality takeaway with a nice bottle of wine, Waitrose is just the place. Organic and diverse foods and other items abound. Of course you may do your regular shopping here too, and the premium paid is well worth it.

If you’re a fan of Nigella and keen to follow in the footsteps of the Domestic Goddess, you might already know that this was the supermarket of choice, in her last BBC2 series. It’s not obligatory — or even advisable — to pull-​up here in a black cab (as she did) and have it wait whilst you fulfill your list.
It is a pleasant place to shop though; useful for some more eclectic items, not always easily available in most high-​street counterparts. I recently shopped, with a friend, who was in urgent need of raclette cheese for a swiss-​themed dinner party; we had no problem finding it here. You’ll also be able to track-​down more unusual alcohol varieties and superior floral bouquets in this store.
